PRESIDENT

Jacqueline M. Fermin | Holladay Properties

A licensed real estate broker for the state of Florida, Mrs. Fermin holds Real Property Administrator (RPA®) and Facilities Management Administrator (FMA®) designations through BOMI International. Jacqueline also serves on the BOMA Southern Region Board of Directors. She was the 2015 SLRP (Strategic Long Range Planning) Committee Chair and is was the TOBY Committee Co-Chair for 2015 along with Megan Purdue. She has been a TOBY judge as well as a TOBY Team Leader various times throughout her tenure with BOMA.

Winner of TOBY (The Outstanding Building of the Year Award) Medical Office category in 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 as well as a BOMA Southern Region TOBY for Medical Office category in 2015.

VICE PRESIDENT

Megan Purdue | Stiles Property Management

Megan is a property manager with Stiles Property Management where she has enjoyed 9 years of personal and professional growth and development.  Prior to joining Stiles, Ms. Purdue was an accountant in both the public and private sector of business. Megan currently manages two Class-A office buildings while participating in committees at Stiles to refine training, policies and procedures and supporting fellow colleagues and their teams.  Megan is pursuing her RPA Designation and has supported Stiles buildings achieving LEED Certification (including her own) and is currently working on her building's LEED EBOM Re-certification. She is currently serving as the VP for the BOMA FTL/PB Board of Directors.  Megan has supported the TOBY Committee as Call for Entry chair in 2013 and 2014 and was the 2015 TOBY Committee Co-chair. She is also a participant on the Membership Committee.  Megan and her team have been honored with three TOBY Earth awards at the local level, and a TOBY Earth award at the regional level and Property Manager of the Year.

SECRETARY/TREASURER

Ian Cosman | CBRE

Ian joined CBRE Asset Services South Florida as a Real Estate Manager in 2007 and since then has led the Coastal Tower management team. The property is a Silver LEED EB certified quarter of a million square foot class A office building in suburban Ft. Lauderdale. He relocated from Toronto Ontario in 2006 where he held the position of Director of Development for the largest retail chain in Canada; a career spanning over 28 years with this firm.

Ian has been a BOMA member since his arrival to South Florida and is extremely proud of prestigious TOBY awards for Renovated Building in 2013/2014 and the 250,000 square foot category for 2014/2015. Coastal Tower is a BOMA 360 certified property and Ian received the CBRE South Florida Sustainability Excellence award in 2014.

He serves on the education committee and looks forward to increased involvement on additional committees with his apppointment as the 2016 Secretary/Treasurer.

Cary Fronstin

Cary Fronstin | Foundry Commercial

Cary is the Senior Vice President / Director of Management for Foundry Commercial. He has over 23 years in the commercial real estate industry as an appraiser, property manager, and asset manager.  He is the immediate past President of BOMA Fort Lauderdale and the Palm Beaches and a Past President of BOMA Florida and serves on BOMA International's Executive Committee. Cary earned his Bachelors Degree specializing in real estate from the Florida State University and also earned the RPA designation from BOMI Institute and LEED Green Associate designation from GBCI. He has served as our Government Affairs Chair since 2007.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Melanie Schrul | BOMA Fort Lauderdale/Palm Beaches

With over 18 years of association management experience Melanie brings knowledge and passion to associations. Melanie is the former Executive Director of the Tampa Bay Chapter of NAIOP and has served on numerous associations’ Board of Directors. In 2004 Melanie started her own association management company which allows her to contract with other associations.  Melanie has worked as the Executive Director for BOMA Fort Lauderdale and The Palm Beaches since 2002 and was the Executive Director for BOMA Florida from 2006 - 2016. She is responsible for the increased size, participation and notoriety of BOMA both state-wide and locally. She was instrumental in the BOMA Southern Region Conference in 2007 and has ben contracted to work on the 2018 BOMA Southern Region Conference, which is being hosted in Hollywood, FL.  Melanie has garnered several BOMA International Awards for Best Practices.  As of October 2017, she will also be the Executive Director for BOMA Greater Tampa Bay in addition to her role with BOMA FTL/PB.

Melanie received her Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies: Social Sciences and a minor in Sociology from Florida Atlantic University. She is the past Chair for the BOMA International Association Executive Council, a BOMA International appointment. Melanie was also hand selected from this region to serve on the BOMA One Standards Compliance Task Force.  Currently Melanie is the Chair of the BOMA International Local Education Services Forum.

Robert Farina | RJF Environmental Consulting Services, Inc.

Rob has 20 years of Indoor Air Quality Investigation and assessing experience with an HVAC background as well as remediation consulting. He is also a certified Thermal Photographer. Rob has been a member since 2001. He has served on the Green and TOBY committees and chaired the Education committee from 2003-2007, and TOBY Committee in 2006. He has co-chaired the BOMA Day commitee since 2007, Membership committee since 2008, and served on Board of Director since 2005. He is also an Education MOLD instructor.

Craig Grosby  | Ivy Realty Services, Inc.

Craig is current Vice President of Property Management for Ivy Realty Services, Inc. Craig has been working in the property management field since 1981, and achieved his CPM® designation in 1984. Craig currently manages over 1,000,000 SF of assets in So. Florida. 

Craig has been a member of BOMA since 1999 and currently serves as Chair- Nominations Committee, Chair- Ad-Hoc By-Laws Committee, is a member of Strategic Long Range Planning (SLRP) commitee, and is a BOMI Certified Instructor. Craig’s prior committee work includes Membership and Programming.

Craig served as Secretary/Treasurer in 2011-2012. Craig was awarded the Property Manager of the Year in 2008-2009.

Don Letendre | Phoenix Air Conditioning

Don was named Associate Member of the year twice and rose from the Future Leadership Council to the Board quickly due to his leadership skills.  He has co-chaired BOMA Day (golf) for 6 years and was the "man behind the scenes" for TOBY for as many years. Don currenly co-chairs the Marketing Committee and serves on the Strategic Long Range Planning committee.

Chris Rotolo | Stiles Property Management

Chris brings more than 22 years of commercial property management experience. Prior to joining Stiles, Ms. Rotolo was the district manager for Gaedeke Landers, Ltd. in Fort Lauderdale, overseeing 15 Class-A office buildings and a staff from Miami to Washington, DC. Her duties included the reviewing and monitoring of financial and property operations, supervising personnel and tenant relations, and assisting in property acquisitions. Currently, she manages executive responsibilities for Stiles’ entire portfolio of properties as well as all three divisions of Stiles Property Management, including Tenant Improvements, Maintenance, and Management.

Chris was the President of BOMA Fort Lauderdale/Palm Beaches for a 2009-2010 term. Prior to becoming President, Ms. Rotolo acted as Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer and has been a Board Member for over six years. She remains very active in committee level activities and has chaired the TOBY's, Programs Committee, Membership Committee, as well as the Strategic Long Range Planning (SLRP) Committee.

Lauren Stephenson | Harvard Maintenance, Inc.

As the Vice President for Harvard Maintenance, Inc., Lauren Stephenson has over a decade of hands-on experience in all aspects of the commercial cleaning industry.

Lauren has been extremely active in BOMA for several years. She has served on the following committees; Programming, TOBY, Strategic Long Range Planning, Sustainability, 2007 Southern Region Co-Chair and served as the BOMA Florida Marketing Chair. Her awards include, 2008 BOMA Outstanding Member of the Year, 2010 TOBY Sponsorship Chair and 2010 BOMA Associate of the Year. In 2011, Lauren was honored as the Outstanding Member of the Year.

Michelle R. Horn | CBRE

Michelle Horn is CBRE’s Senior Real Estate Manager with responsibility for One Clearlake Centre, a Class A 218,631 sq. ft. commercial office building in West Palm Beach, Florida.  Michelle oversees all property management, construction management, tenant relations and services, budgets, and daily operations at the property.

In the past five years, Michelle has supervised $2.8M in tenant improvements and $520K in capital improvements at the property: including spec suites, common area floor renovations and lavatory upgrades, parking elevator cab upgrades, security camera system upgrades, cooling tower east gear box installation, and passenger elevator shaft pressurization. Michelle continually brings cost savings to the client by leveraging CBRE’s national contracts, as well as by supporting energy efficient lighting upgrades/LED lighting, engaging in competitive bidding for repairs, and having CBRE’s experienced engineers perform maintenance work in-house.

In July 2012, One Clearlake Centre achieved LEED Silver for Existing Buildings. One Clearlake Centre has achieved EPA's Energy Star label since 2012 and currently has a rating of 91.

 Bunnie Willis, RPA | Patrinely Group, LLC

Bunnie currently serves as a Regional Property Manager with Patrinely Group, LLC. and is based at Cornerstone office building in Plantation, FL. She previously managed Bayview Corporate Tower, the largest (SF) office building in Broward County. In addition to her volunteerism with BOMA, Bunnie was voted Property Manager of the Year, and she has won 4 prestigious TOBY awards. Bunnie served on the Future Leadership Council in 2007 and was nominated to the Board in 2008. She served as Secretary-Treasurer in 2010 and 2014, Vice President in 2011, and President for the 2012-2013 term. She also chaired the SLRP (Strategic Long Range Planning) committee in 2011 and co-chaired the TOBY Committee in 2007 - 2009, as well as being a judge in 2005 and 2006. Bunnie has been the Chair of the TOBY Judging Committee since 2009. Bunnie was the Co-Chair of the Education Committee in 2008 - 2010, and chaired the committee in 2012 - 2017.  She also serves on the BOMA Day and TOBY committees. Recently Bunnie was appointed as the Co-chair for the BOMA Southern Region Conference as our BOMA local association is the host city in April 2018.

Lynda Bowie | Modern Image and Landscaping

Lynda currently serves as Vice President for Modern Image Landscape & Design, a full service commercial landscape maintenance contractor.  Prior to starting Modern Image with her husband Jeff in 2003, she worked as an Account Executive in the Public Relations/Event Management field.        

Lynda has been a BOMA member since 2004. She is very active in the chapter and serves on the BOMA Board of Directors as a Future Leader. She also serves as a Tri-Chair of the Programming Committee and as the raffle prize chair for the BOMA Day committee. Lynda enjoys being a TOBY judge which she has done since 2006. In 2011, Lynda was awarded the Outstanding Member of the Year.

George Hendrix | AlliedUniversal Security Services

George currently serves in the capacity of Business Development/Marketing in South Florida for AlliedUniversal Security Services.  AlliedUniversal Security Services provides unmatched security service and solutions by creating partnerships with our valued employees and clients.

George has been a member of BOMA since 2008. He is very active in the local and serves as co-chair of BOMA Day, co-chair of the TOBY’s Day-Of/Production team and serves on the Membership Committee.

Keeley O'Leary | Colliers International

 

Keeley O'Leary serves as a Senior Property Manager for Colliers International South Florida where she manages a portfolio of office and retail properties. She is responsible for the oversight of both Class A and B office product in Downtown Fort Lauderdale and the West Broward sub markets while managing all aspects of a commercial building portfolio, including daily operations, tenant relations, building maintenance and financial activities. 

Providing over 16 years' experience in the South Florida market, Ms. O'Leary credits her industry successes to both practical experience as well as having an academic background in real estate.  A native Floridian who began her career in brokerage and development while attending university, Keeley's previous involvement in construction and development has proved to be an invaluable foundation for her role with Colliers International.

Misti Gray | Stiles Property Management

Misti L. Gray is a Property Manager with Stiles Property Management. Previously with Colliers International, she has been involved in the South Florida market for over 14 years. Misti transitioned to commercial property management with Pointe Group Advisors in 2009. With her well-rounded experience in both Residential Construction and Commercial Property Management, Misti is responsible for the daily management of 455,000+ SF of Class “A” and “B” commercial and medical office, as well as retail space.

Misti is a contributing member of BOMA's annual golf tournament committee as well as The Outstanding Building of the Year Awards (TOBYs). Misti has also served as a judge for the local and regional TOBY awards since 2011. Misti co-chairs the new group for Emerging Professionals.
