Building Owners & Managers Association of Ft. Lauderdale and the Palm Beaches [BOMAFTLPB] is a non-profit organization serving the advocacy, education and networking needs of commercial real estate professionals in Broward and Palm Beach counties. We promote the interests of building owners, managers, tenants and the business service and product providers that support our industry.

 

MEMBERSHIP

BOMA FTLPB represents buildings that provide more than 1-million square feet of commercial property in Ft. Lauderdale and Palm Beach Counties. We have over 300 members who own, operate, service or provide products to commercial buildings. We are affiliated with BOMA in six other Florida metro areas and have professional statewide representation in Tallahassee. We are also affiliated with 93 BOMA associations around the world and BOMA International in Washington, D.C.

ACTIVITIES

As the leading organization for the commercial real estate profession, BOMA Fort Lauderdale & Palm Beaches plays an important public role as a leader and public advocate for the industry. Our activities are as diverse as the members we serve and include:

  • Conducting regular education programs to enrich our members’ expertise in property management.
  • Producing bulletins and a newsletter to inform members on matters important to the industry.
  • Sending representatives to our national, state and regional meetings.
  • Engaging in governmental legislative lobbying, as appropriate.
  • Supporting professional designations in property management.
  • Providing opportunities for members to build networks and relationships that strengthen the industry and the association.

BOMA INTERNATIONAL

BOMA Fort Lauderdale & Palm Beaches is governed by established by-laws. The association is led by a Board of Directors and actively managed by a professional association Executive Director. The local association are part of BOMA International, an international federation of more than 100 local associations and affiliated organizations. Founded in 1907, its 16,500-plus members own or manage more than nine-billion square feet of commercial properties around the world. 

BOMA International’s mission is to enhance the human, intellectual and physical assets of the commercial real estate industry through advocacy, education, research, standards and information.
