BOMA Highlighted for Sustainability Work

Founded in 1907, the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International is a federation of U.S. local associations and global affiliates. The leading trade association for commercial real estate professionals for more than 100 years, it represents the owners, managers, service providers and other property professionals of all commercial building types, including office, industrial, medical, corporate and mixed-use. BOMA International is the partner individuals in the commercial real estate industry choose to maximize value for their careers, organizations and assets. Its mission is to advance a vibrant commercial real estate industry through advocacy, influence and knowledge.

BOMA was recently highlighted for their sustainability efforts by ASAE Research Foundation.

The ASAE Research Foundation advances association and nonprofit leadership, focusing principally on three areas important to the success of association management professionals and the organizations they serve: research, leadership, and innovation. The ASAE Research Foundation released the results of its multi-year Centennial Research Initiative entitled, Impact Every Day, to coincide with the 2020 ASAE Virtual Annual Meeting & Exposition.

Impact Every Day provides a comprehensive look at the work associations and nonprofits have achieved and delivers a road map to help guide our industry through a future that is evolving faster than anyone could have anticipated,” said Susan Robertson, CAE, ASAE President and CEO.

BOMA’s story is featured under Association Impact, Benchmarking in Pursuit of Sustainability. The direct report can be found here.

Association Now (an ASAE publication) also published 100 Associations That Will Save the World. BOMA made the shortlist (number 12) of the top 100 Associations. View the list of 100 Associations here
