Eight Broward and Palm Beach Commercial Real Estate Properties Qualify to Compete in 9-State Regional Competition

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA (November 7, 2016) — Over 350 building owners, property managers and service providers were in attendance as Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of Fort Lauderdale/Palm Beaches announced the winners of the esteemed ‘The Outstanding Building of Year’ (TOBY) awards at its annual gala on Friday night, November 4th, 2016 at the Eau Palm Beach in Manalapan, FL.

The TOBY Awards are considered to be the most prestigious awards for commercial real estate in the country and honors the finest in property management.  During the competition, all facets of a building’s operations are thoroughly evaluated from community involvement and site management to environmental policies and procedures. An independent industry study shows that winners of the TOBY Award outperformed other buildings in overall tenant satisfaction.

Eight Broward and Palm Beach properties announced at The TOBY Gala on November 4th at the Eau Palm Beach that can compete for the title in their categories at the regional level. That competition includes properties from nine states and will be announced at the BOMA Southern Conference held April 5-8, 2017 in Atlanta, GA.

Awards were also given to individuals for outstanding contributions to BOMA Fort Lauderdale/Palm Beaches and their achievements in the property management industry.  Individual award recipients were:

The 2016 TOBY award’s main sponsor was GreenTeam Service Corp, a plumbing and electrical contractor serving South Florida.  GreenTeam has been named as one of fastest growing companies in Florida by the Business Journal.
