Amenities Are Gaining Attention in Leasing Game

"It's not business as usual anymore," according to the South Florida Business Journal's recent article describing trends in Office Parks.

Last September, BOMA Fort Lauderdale Palm Beaches hosted a program called Changes In Workplace Culture And The Impact On The Role Of The Property Manager. Hensley Loeb from JLL shared with us some real statistics to explain the shift.

We noticed a trend in how tenant expectations are changing and how property owners and managers are playing a more significant part in cultivating the workplace environment – particularly through amenities. All of this has an impact on the day to day role of the Property Managers.

In the article, it was reported that amenities are big business at office parks and while amenities are not a new topic in the office sector, the scope is changing, and owners are paying more attention to it.

“I see this becoming more and more of a requirement than an option,” Butters Construction CEO Malcolm Butters was quoted as saying. “It makes it so much easier to lease the industrial when you have all these types of amenities nearby.”
