BOMA Florida Members Lobby State Lawmakers

BOMA Florida Members Lobby State Lawmakers

BOMA Florida held its Capital Advocacy Day on April 9, with dozens of members from around the state convening in Tallahassee to meet with lawmakers. Members spoke on BOMA Florida’s legislative priorities, including reducing the state’s commercial rent tax and streamlining local permitting processes. The day before, BOMA Florida President Mary Lantz, RPA, testified in front of a Florida Senate committee on the importance of preserving BOMA’s seat on the Florida Building Commission—another major BOMA Florida priority. BOMA International Director of State and Local Affairs Ken Rosenfeld participated in the advocacy day to support BOMA members. Contact him for more information on state and local advocacy efforts.
